    Father McGivney Catholic High School Art Camp is a week-long camp that offers a variety of art projects including canvas painting, foil collage, masking tap sculptures, bead sun-catchers, bizarre metallic bugs, clay fairy houses, and more!  Students will learn art through multiple mediums and will bring home 3 - 5 completed projects.  Projects will vary by session based on age and skill level.

    Rich Beyers

    Rich Beyers is a native of Shelbyville, IL. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1997, where he led the Rams to the State Championship during his junior season in 1996 under Coach Sean Taylor. During his high school career, Rich scored 1,980 points, while averaging 20 points & 10 rebounds per game. He was selected Class A player of the year in 1996 as well as 1st team all-state in 1996 & 1997. He then went on to play under Coach Lon Kruger at the University of Illinois, where he was a member of the 1997-1998 Big Ten Championship team. During his sophomore season, Rich transferred to Illinois State University & would finish his basketball career under Coaches Kevin Stallings & Tom Richardson. He played in the NCAA Tournament with the Fighting Illini & in the NIT Tournament with the Redbirds.

All athletes must have proper athletic shoes, knee pads (optional), and water.

  • Co-Ed Running Camp 5th-8th Grade

    Entering 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grades: 
    Tuesday, May 29th - Friday, June 1st, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

    The Father McGivney Catholic High School Co-Ed Running camp focuses on teaching through a schedule of running activities, new learning (drills, form, workouts, etc.), and increased mental toughness.  You will meet new friends and be engaged in a fun, rewarding and life sport!

    In addition, for those interested, the St. Louis Festival of Miles is Thursday, May 31 with the “Healthy Kids Mile” (K-5) at 6:30 p.m. and “Middle School Mile” (6-8) at 6:45 p.m. at Saint Louis University High School.  http://www.stlfestivalofmiles.com/event-info/.  A great evening of running and charity!

    All athletes should have proper shoes for running and water.

    Jeff Oller comes to Father McGivney Catholic High School after 7 years filling a number of roles at St Boniface School.  He served as athletic director, Physical Education teacher, and coach at St Boniface School.  He has also coached at Father McGivney as an assistant boys basketball coach and now as the head girls basketball coach.  He is a native of Lincoln, IL. There he was a member of the football, track, and 2005 Elite Eight basketball team. He then enrolled in Illinois College, earned his teaching degree and played football for the Blueboys.

    Mr. Oller began coaching basketball after his graduation from IC in 2010 as an assistant coach at Jacksonville High School. From there, Oller has also been a basketball camp director and skills trainer, select team coach, and assistant track coach.  Mr. Oller is a member of Illinois Athletic Director’s Association and the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association.

    Mr. Oller believes that high school athletics provides the opportunity for students to grow in every aspect of their life. He is committed to working collaboratively with all coaches, faculty, staff, and students to develop a high performing athletics program.  Emphasis on spiritual growth, healthy lifestyle, academics, dedication and teamwork will help to build the growing Father McGivney community.

    The Father McGivney Catholic High School Boys and Girls Soccer Camp is designed to develop age-appropriate skills in the sport of soccer while developing a passion for the game. This camp is open to boys and girls of all skill levels. During camp, players will improve foot skills and 1v1 play, as well as participate in scrimmages and games...and of course FUN! Campers should wear shin guards and bring a ball and water. Players will be split up by grades.

    Vance has been coaching since graduating from Lewis University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing, where he was a member of the Men’s Soccer Program. The soccer team went to the NCAA Division II Final Four his senior year, as well as a GLVC Conference Tournament Champion as a sophomore.

    Vance is a coach with Elite Fitness Training in Glen Carbon, as the Staff Director, scheduling and training more than 70 local youth soccer teams from four local clubs. Before coming to McGivney, Vance coached the Girls’ Soccer Program at Mater Dei, where he helped guide them to an overall record of 24-12-2, the first ever 2 regional championships, and a sectional win.  Vance is currently pursuing his Master of Teaching from Lindenwood University in Belleville, IL, where he serves as a Graduate Assistant for the Men’s Soccer Team.

    As a coach, Vance hopes to instill in his players a sense of community and family. Win, lose, or draw we will play to love our teammates and the game.
